Default key FOB help please????

I disconnected the battery yesterday to install my new TRAP intake system and when I was finished and reconnected it the key remote would not work on passive or with passive off.....is there any way to reset this???? Any help would be great!!!!! :banghead:

As long as the remotes are just out of synchronization with the receiver in the car (due to the battery disconnect) this should fix it. (taken from 2001 service manual)

1. Stand within 5 feet of the car (the remote receiver is in the fender above the left rear wheel)

2. Simultaneously press and hold BOTH the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter for 7 seconds

3. The horn should chirp to confirm re-synchronization

It doesn't say, but you'll probably have to do both/all of your fobs the same way.

If the fobs need to be reprogrammed (most likely NOT your problem), then you would need a scan tool. A dealer can help you with that.
