Default More air for the Blackwing

What would happen if you drilled holes in the radiator shroud directly under (behind) the Blackwing? It seems to me this would allow a lot more air into intake but I'm concerned about water etc. contaminating the filter. Has anyone tried this?

If you want to go this route, get the cold air cover and cut out the shroud. Nothing but cold outside air.

Just to be clear, cutting the shroud will get you colder air, not really "more" air - your unrestrictive air intake/filter gets you more air. Cars generally don't starve for air, the car is submerged in air. No matter how hard your engine or supercharger is sucking in air, there's usually plenty more leaking in somewhere, and the cooler the air leaking in, the better.

Don't do it as your car will surge......Leave it as is or get the cold air screens for the front..............

Ditto the above post. I sent you an IM but do a little search in the Archives and you will get a lot of poop on this subject, mostly negative on the cutting of the hole.
