Getting free gears, have a question though...
Currently my car is bone stock (will change soon though  ). I pretty much have my choice of gears, though I'm pretty sure I don't want to go with 4.10's as my 2001 is not only my toy, but the my only source of transportation.
So, I'm left debating about 3.73's or 3.90's. I want the best bang I can get out of rear end gears, without sacrificing to much top end and mpg. Also, I'm assuming that installing these faster gears, there must be added stress somewhere in the car. Is this correct? The faster the gear the more stress it creates? I'd really like my car have insane accelration, but not so much so that I snap a drive shaft or blow my engine, etc...
Any input will be appretiated. Thanks!
