Wondering what the 1st step should be for HP upgrade? Air fiter? Any luck by anyone with a chip? Want to do only bolt on stuff as live in a condo complex with little or no hood-up tolerance! Thanks for your thoughts.

Definitely do an airbox. The vara-ram, blackwing, vortex all being good choices. You can do the blackwing for like 170$ these days!

  :smash:

BTW, Predator programming has gotten very good reviews and is user friendly.

Thanks guys, probably go with the Blackwing as it is most suggested here. Not hearing anyone suggest K&N aftermarket filters. Not a good alternative? Not ungrateful for your suggestions at all. Just curious.

You might want to check both recent and archive forum posts for performance gains. Some folks have seen minimal/no/reduced HP changes from some common modifications.

Also, from reading posts on these forums, you want to find someone who REALLY KNOWS what they are doing before you start any serious mods. A change to one part ripples through the car with unanticipated consequences.

Many posts are help requests to fix problems caused by some modification or nonstandard part. Any car is a balance (compromise) of performance/fuel economy/comfort/longevity/Government regulations/etc, a modification that enhances drag strip performance may have adverse consequences on autocross performance - how are YOU going to use the car?
