Getting P1571 and C1277 codes HELP!!!

The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) simultaneously control traction control. Spark timing is retarded or fuel injectors are selectively turned off by the PCM. The EBCM actively applies the brakes to the front wheels in order to reduce torque.
When these modules can't or have difficulty communicating with each other the C1277 and P1571 faults are set. C1277 means the PCM has sent a serial message to the EBCM that a fault exists. P1571 means that the PCM has detected a signal from the EBCM that is out of its valid range OR the PCM does not receive a signal from the EBCM.
Likely causes are:
- An open in the requested torque circuit.
- A short to ground or short to voltage in the requested torque circuit.
- Wiring problem, terminal corrosion, or poor connection in the requested torgue circuit.
- Commmunication frequency problem.
- PCM is not receiving data from EBCM.
- Loose or corroded EBCM or PCM ground.
The Service Manual has specific fault isolation checklists for all DTC codes. The dealer therefore has step-by-step fault isolation and correction information in hand. Why they told you they couldn't help  , but I would take them at their word and STAY AWAY!
Maybe someone from Chicago can suggest a dealer, you might search recent and archive posts.
Don't let this stuff slide, you want the car to perform as it should. You might want to get access to a Service Manual for your year, even if you are not going to do the work yourself, you can get an appreciation of how simple or complex a job is likely to be.
Good luck!
