Hey Face, what rear gears do you have? A4 (2.73 or 3.15 or 3.42) or M6 (3.42 or taller)
A4 with 3.73's and a SY3500 converter. On the parkway I'm fine since I usually travel at 60-70, but in slower traffic and main roads the drone can be very annoying.

 A4 w/3.73 Wow, no wonder you have a drone. Please don't get me wrong, I know your C5 is badass on the 1/4 track. If I'm at 2200rpms at 70 mph in my A4 w/3.42 rear I wonder what your tach reads at 70 mph w/3.73?
I suppose the SY3500 has nothing to do with your drone? Maybe mine will have a less drone since my gears are not as tall as yours? I hope  Or, do I have it backwards. Its the slower speed that feels the drone :mad  really confused now.

It's backwards. When I had 3.15's, the drone was worse, and I had to apply more pedal to get out of it. With the 3.73's it feels as the range of rpms the drone occurs and the amount of pedal I need to apply to get out of the drone both decreased. If I were to do it over again I would have gone with 3.90's. :D

AFAIK and what the Corsa people told me and the TSB all indicates the worst of the resonance zone is at 1500 RPM. Anything above or below that is better.

I bought two Car Chemistry header inserts for the exhaust pipes that are supposed to reduce resonance; these could be the cure for the stinger drone. If they work I'll let you know.
I sure would like more info :yesnod:

Installed them last night and removed the inserts borla sent me last year; it took four hours since the whole system had to be dropped. The new inserts cut the resonance down a lot but not entirely, about 60-70%. I didn't have an industrial laser handy to put holes in the stock pipes for stainless steel pop rivets so they were tapped in right at the joint to the x-pipe. The two trailing rings of the inserts that fit into the x-pipe were ground slighty for an easy fit. For systems with no x-pipe the inserts should fit into the exit of the h-pipe, a lot less work. The Jegs part # is 176-3D135L which is a 3 disk 2 1/2" insert, two are needed.

One thing to consider, dunno. SLP sells an XPIPE with built-in resonator. I added this to my SLP Loud mouth and WOW what a difference. My resonance is in the 2200-2500 RPM range on my A4 and this occurs only under very light acceleration/gas (like when going up a hill with cruise control at 75mph).

I have 3.15's so my cruising RPM's are 1800-2400.

It still has a mild resonance, but if I can stop the SLP resonance, the stingers
should be a piece of cake with the SLP xpipe w/ resontaor.

Another thing I notice that helps, for you coupe guys - don't use your glass top. The painted top seems to absorb some of the resonance bouncing around in the car.

I really have 0 resonance with windows down and/or top off on my coupe. I don't know many loudmouth people who can say that with no xpipe w/ resonator. I highly recommend it.
Just my $0.02!

another source of help for you resonance and interior noise level is:
http://www.b-quiet.com/

I have thought of using them, but have not, yet...

If the resonant sound was high frequency it would be easy. The low frequency stuff we have here is a problem. Unfortunately Lead is the most effective do to it's density but weight will kill you. I had a jet boat with a 455 Olds engine and lead was all that would work.
