Default Reduced Engine Power Warning

My 97 Coupe posted the "Reduced Engine Power" warning on the DIC yesterday. It also showed "Low Fuel" on the DIC. My fuel was no low, having about 1/4 tank. I went ahead and filled it up as I was sitting at a gas station. I let the car sit for about 5 minutes. It started and has run well for the next 500 miles (I was in a caravan going to the Corvette 50th Anninversary in Nashville). The only other problem is today the DIC showed "Reserve Fuel" as I was going down the Interstate. Again, the car had over 1/4 tank.
I need to know what you should do to get rid of the Reduced Power warning should it not disappear on it's own. Can you disconnect the positive side on the battery to clear it? I am taking it to my Chevy dealer next week. They have already replaced the gas sending unit previously. Any help would be appreciated. It was no fun being 500 miles from home when that reduced engine power warning comes on, I can assure you. Any help would be appreciated. Mike

Default Re: Reduced Engine Power Warning (RedVetteMike)

Mike ,
if you clear your DIC it should reset your "reduced engine power " warning. You need to hold your Options button and push the fuel 4 X .

Good Luck
