SLP Headers and exh, Good or Bad
Read the article in GM Hi Tech Performance, " Apt Pupil", and was really hyped up about doing the mod at SLP, I even went up there to see them and they were very nice and helpful. When did I want to make an appointment and everything.
Tried to buy the SLP headers and exh from someone and they told me of the fitment problems and blowing the AC hose and brake fade, also that there was no decrease in times from stock. I know I don't need any of these problems ssoooo can anyone tell me is this true or just somebodies bad rap.
If SLP is no good what header and exhaust system is good and increases power.
Thanks in advance for your help. Please e mail me with any answers. njvet01@yahoo.com

You have to split your main wiring harness, reroute, reloom, etc the wiring harness and drop the starter to get the passenger side in.
Fit was fantastic. Workmanship of the header is outstanding.
Sound and performance was everything SLP promised. My stock C5 dyno'd at 323 RWHP and 337 RWTQ. Not too shabby for SLP headers and Corsa cat-back exhaust.
But be prepared - the passenger side is a mess to install. Also, the SLP instructions have you doing things the hard way. There are easier ways to do the install - but no easy fix around the harness mess.
Good luck.
