Engine part # help
I just got my car back from the dealer today. They installed a new LS6 motor I think its the 405hp engine. I was looking through the reciept and I saw the list of parts and part #'s that they ordered. The engine part # that the ordered is 88894057. If you look at the # closely you will see that it has the #'s 405 in it. So my question is is this the new 03 405hp motor part #?????? Thanks andy

According to my parts CD (which only goes to '01), 88894057 is the '01 model LS6 engine. I think the '405' is just a coincidence since the '01 LS1 is 88894056. FYI, the '00 Ls1 is 88893286, the '99 LS1 is 12457660, and the '97-'98 LS1 is 12455109.

According to the new Scoggin Dickey Parts Center catalog the part number for the 03 Z06 complete motor is 12562190 $7295ea. The part number for the long block for replacement in a Camaro or Firebird is 12498399 $5289 ea. Call 800 456 0211 or go to http://www.sdpc2000.com
