NEED ADVICE ON SHOCKS to replace f45's
01 c-5 lowered 1-1.5 inches, street car with hotchkiss/zo6 bars .I would like advice on the best shocks to replace my f45's AND maintain my ride height, would like to keep it under $2k. Thanks for the input :confused:

We have similar car setups - mine is a 2001 C5 convertible modified with F45 system. No one will rebuild the F45 shock and mine are starting to soften up. I'm thinking of going to Koni's or Bilsteins and having a local tuner turn off my F45 option (for ~$60). Total cost would be around $600 for the shocks. I already have the OEM Z06 sway bars and metal end links ($260 delivered from Ken Fitchner Chevy) and the VBP front 800# and rear 560# bow springs on my car ($1,000 for both) and I kick Z06 butt on the autocross track with my F45 shocks. Plus I have a convertible :D
I'm thinking you can do a great setup that will beat the Z06 car for around $1,700 if you do the labor.
