Headers and GHL exhaust
I have a 2000 MN6 which is stock except for the GHL exhaust I installed about 10 months ago. (and love them). I am going to be putting a Blackwing air filter on and was thinking about getting a set of headers and X pipe while I was at it. I was wondering if anyone has this setup and if it was much louder after installing the headers. In the August edition of Corvette Fever it describes how to install Headers and it looked really easy. On a 2000 would the Cat converter stay intact? Also any problems throwing codes when you change the exhaust. And last question would it be better to go with long or short headers? :confused: :confused: :confused:

Hello, I have a 2002 Couple MN6 with a black wing and GHL exhaust, and I am not getting any codes.
As far as headers go, I dont know anything about those, but I think the long ones are what gives the best results, but I think it depends on the state you live in as to if it will pass emissions.

I've got the GHL 4" quads as well as the blackwing, ported maf With screens removed. I can say its quite a bit louder than stock with the blackwing. A good increase of sotp hp,seems to wind up faster and smoother.If you want headers don't bother with shortys,unless you just want it to look cooler when you pop the hood.
