All those who received their replacements. How was the fit this time. Did they solve the alignment problem. Getting ready to install mine and was just curious if the fit is better than the originals.

 

Put them on last week. The fit and finish was excellent. So far they are still perfect. Just my 2 cents :cheers:

 

1slowc5---How noticable is the performance difference in your car with the FLP headers??

 

I could tell a good bit of difference especially in the midrange. :cheers:

 

My new set is now on. The old ones broke at the front hangars due to misalignment. The new ones fit 100% perfect all the way from front to back. All welds also look good. :steering:

 

I put mine on this past weekend - fit was tight, but good. No alignment problems at all. They sound great too! My SOTP meter tells me it's a little better HP-wise, but not a lot. I know I'm running lean - will be picking up LS1 Edit soon - things should improve after some tuning.

My main concern was clearance of the cats and pipes - my car is really low ... and both the main V clamps and the cats ended up about 3/4" below the bottom of the car. I did everything I could to position them higher, but that's the best I could do. So far so good though - it hasn't scraped on anything yet.

I just got back from a 'test drive' - there's a light ticking sound under heavy acceleration between 70-90 MPH that I was trying to locate ... apparantly the local troopers like the sound of the FLPs/Corsas too - as he pulled out from his ambush point and followed me for almost 10 miles. :eek: Thought I was going to get another certificate for the wall! :D

Remember not to tighten the clamps and header bolts until everything is in place and it should go well.

Have my FLP's sitting at home waiting to be installed this week along with LS1 edit tuning. I will keep everyone updated as to horsepower increases and fit and finish :cheers:
