I have been debating whether or not I need a deep pan. I have new found power :yesnod: :D so now worry about my stock transmission. I have been carefully watching the temps and the hottest I have had it was 205 and that was on a 95F day (yesterday).
Any insight into why I would want a deep pan is greatly appreciated.
The extra deep pan will hold more fluid allowing the heat to be dissipated throughout all of, thus lowering the temp. The pan will also allow better heat transfer to the outside air. For $200, it is a good measure to help save your stock tranny as long as possible :)

But given I don't see temps above 205 will it improve with a deep pan?
I guess what I am asking is how many degrees does a deep pan typically lower the transmission temperature under identical conditions?
