Yank Sy-3500
I have fallen to the pressure of a local friend and decided to add a Yank SY-3500 to my 3.42 upgrade from last winter. What will real world results be ?? Dont tell me it will rock, or great combo, but what I would really appreciate is some SOTP differences. Any negative effects ?? Positive ?? I have never even thought of a TC replacement before, and honestly am quite perplexed about the difference.
(Car is highway driven daily -- 100 miles a day minimum)

Same here. .7 from SY3500 and 3.42's, and that was only with a .1 better 60 foot time than w/ the stock converter with lots of spin.
Plus after you punch it a couple times from 35-40 mph on the street, you'll have a hard time wiping the smile off your face.

The biggest SOTP feel is the looseness of the TC you will feel but I got use to it fairly quick. Since I did both at the same time I can't really compare the difference between just a gear change and a gear/TC change. Good luck! :cheers: :cheers: :cheers: :auto:
