Re: Vararam users -- Are you satisfied with it? (Jim Shearer)
I love mine. It's not a daily driver, and I don't drive in rain unless I'm caught in it. Picked up 2 tenths and almost 2 mph in the 1/8 mi. It's the best intake I have had so far. Pain in the azz to install, but worth it IMO. I also like the rammer, but I think the vararam gave me a little more power up in the rpm range. It just feels smoother. May not be ideal for daily driver. Even with a stock intake, you have to be careful around deep water. SCOTT

Jim, I have had mine for some 6 months now and have had no problem with it. The install took a little longer than expected, but other than that, it has performed real well on my head/cam car. I have no problem with the quality of the unit or the fit. The only feature they need to improve is removing the filter element to clean it which is a PITA. Other than this, I would highly recommend it to you.

Re: Vararam users -- Are you satisfied with it? (Jim Shearer)
Yes!!! Before the Vararam I was using the Vortex rammer. Having a transmission cooler located in front of the radatior, I would see intake temps around 120+ on a 85 degree day. With the Vararam on a 100 degree day, intake temps are about 102 degrees.
Re: Vararam users -- Are you satisfied with it? (Jim Shearer)
Before Vararam with x-pipe and LM's:
297hp
325tq
After Vararam:
310hp 360tq
I have driven through a couple of monsoon rains, with no problem. Yeah, the filter is bit of a PITA to take out and clean, but it shouldn't need it too often anyway.
Edit:
Before: 13.7 in the 1/4
After: 13.1 with the top down and a passenger. At 85deg. At Beach Bend.
But I attribute that more to practice than anything else.
