B1000 is an internal fault detected in the Body Control Module (BCM). It may be that the module has detected an internal write malfunction or an internal checksum malfunction. If it is a history code only the service manual says not to replace the module. If the code is both a current and history DTC, then replace the module.

B1001 is set when the restraints ID (air bag) stored in the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) does not match the restraints ID that is stored in the BCM and/or the VIN stored in the SDM does not match the VIN stored in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

Perhaps the B1000 error (internal write malfunction) is related to the B1001 error (ID stored does not match).
