Default Quick Flasher Question...

Help! I'm going a bit mad here, my turn signals/hazards on my 98 have gone completely crazy on me... and I can't find the flasher relay  I've checked the panel in the passenger footwell and under the hood... closest thing I can find are the DRL relays?!? HELP!

what exactly to you mean by going crazy? remember, when a bulb is burned out, your signals will flash repetiously fast... indicating it needs a new bulb...

The "Flasher" is built in to the Hazard Switch, you have to remove the dash cover to get at it. But your problem sounds like a burnt out bulb.

Thanks guys... I should have elaborated "crazy" a bit... basically, when I signal, sometimes I get one blink, sometimes none, sometimes three or four... I can sometimes get the hazards to come on, not consistant though... For a while I was able to get the signals to come on by clicking the hazard button after they went off... or was able to signal by trying to click on/off a few times... I don't have any bulbs burnt out, so I'm thinking its the flasher or something farther along... may take it to dealer if the dash has to come apart, though...

If it's not the flasher, check the turn signal switch. Many have gone bad, and some go bad in different ways. I lost the right side brake lights, and everything else worked. Bulbs were good. Turn signal switch was bad. Good luch in tracing the problem- hope you find it. SCOTT
