Got the beast back this week...
I had put around 15000 miles on the stroker, most of them were very hard miles, the time had come to give it a going over. Well, the sleeves were fine, but the block had a visible crack in it. So I guess 482 is ok with a cracked block. :)
Lou ordered a new block, pistons, etc, freshened my heads, sleeved the lifter bores, had the complete assembly balanced and put in a new Ram clutch. We kept the crank, rods, cam, springs, rockers, etc and Lou did his magic.
At the same time I had the tranny and rear end blueprinted by Rockland Standard Gear, man you won't believe how great this thing shifts. It probably doesn't hurt that Lou put new semi solid motor mounts in at the same time.
Louis and Mike put it together and put it in the car in about two days. That is the entire drive train, not just the motor. Then Lou and Jeremy spent six hours dyno tuning the new motor.
Through the mufflers it made 510/508 rear wheel. I believe that with some break in and a new intake which I am having built by Hogan, I will hit the 550 mark. At least I hope so.
It idles with the AC on and pulls like you wouldn't believe. During the process we added a Specktre Werks rear fascia and a DRM heat extractor hood, and an ACI front splitter. it looks pretty good.
Thanks Lou.

Thanks, I am very happy with LGMotorsports. I will get some new pics up soon. I have to get some for Hot Rod Magazine anyway. My car is going to be in it one month in the coming year.
Regards
Randy
3 months, man you must have been going crazy. I waited only 26 days, but it felt like a year. It would have been ready sooner, but we had to wait for gaskets and some other oddball stuff at the last minute. They are very sensitive to how long a car takes at LG.
Cheers

I hope to see both of you at the Texas World Speedway in College station for the LG Motorsports Driving Seminar and Track Days on Aug 2 & 3.
Randy, I think your car will hit the 170 mph mark on the front strait.
Glad to hear you are smiling again :yesnod:
Neck snapping acceleration will do that.
Thanks
