This is in no way a dig at Top Down Tecnologies (Window Valet), but I jusy installed it last few days and now twice my battery has been dead overnight.
I don't know if it is the Valet or something that I did- just want to know if anybody else has expierenced the same thing. I did also change the exhaust, but that should have nothing to do with the electrical. Other than that, no other changes.
BTW, I did take the module back out and I will see if that helps in the next few days, but I already miss the options and new Mod.

Re: Battery Drain after Window valet install. (Rich's75)
I don't have the stock radio anymore, but when I did I remember that one of the WV features let the radio stay "on" after the ignition was off????
Re: Battery Drain after Window valet install. (OCMike)
There is an option to have the radio stay on but only for 15 minutes or so. This time can also be adjusted through the setup menu on the WV. I have had one on my car for aver a year and it never drained my battery. My battery did however die over the winter, but it wasn't caused by the WV.
Re: Battery Drain after Window valet install. (OCMike)
You know I though about that, but the WV is set up to shut the radio off after 30 sec, 5 minutes, or 30 minutes (I think those were the times).
So shouldn't it shut off and save the battery after a while. I will have to check that out. Maybe it is not shutting off.
Thanks

UPDATE
Now I am starting to lean towards just battery replacement.
See if this makes sense. I tried to start the car again this morning after the WV had been out all night.
First turn the car on (not start) and volts read 10.2
Start the car (barely turns over) and volts read 14.1
Shut car off and volts on DIC goes to 12.1, and then about 30 seconds later starts to drop pretty quickly down to 10.1- 10.0
Car not holding a charge? Near as I can tell (no date on battery), I think that I have the original battery that came with the car ('99).

What do you guys think?
Four year old battery, stick a fork in it, it's done :cry :cry

C5's are noted for being hard on the battery when not driven daily. From what I have read here, the car will kill your battery if not driven for as little as 1 week, and certainly after 3 weeks. Too much power draw from some of the on board systems for the battery.
If it is a '99 battery, it's likely near the end of it's life anyways, MHO is replace it with an AGM. I did mine during the winter as preventive measure against the possible leak problem. My OEM battery also went flat while sitting in my garage last winter. But after getting the new AGM I gave my old battery to my daughter for her '97 Sunfire and it's still doing it's job for her.

Also check for Battery Leakage. When you change the Battery check under the Battery tray to see if you had any acid leak on the inside of the tray or on the frame rail. Also check the wires harnesses under the tray. I had the Battery leak as many other have also. The original Battery are known for leaking and destroying the harneses and the HVAC lines and paint from on the frame rail, Just my .02 cents Good Luck
