Default Stage ll Surfaced Heads. LS6 Intake Adjustments ?

I'm in the middle of my install. I have ARE Stage ll Heads, which I bought used on the forum. The heads were surfaced to give 10.8 compression. I just installed the heads and the intake. My question is about the intake. Will it seat properly with the surfaced heads or should I have made some adjustment to the two brass bolt inserts in the intake ? Anybody make this adjustment or not ? Thanks.

I will TTT for you, I didn't change my heads so I don't know for sure, but I suspect you are ok just bolting it in. The seals are pretty thick, and if the heads are milled you aren't changing the angle, you are just sliding the intake ports down toward the block a little more at the same angle. I suspect this won't affect the seal.

Does the increase in compression only equate to a couple thous?

Thanks for the input. I think many, if not most, of the Stage ll heads have been surfaced to raise the compression a bit. I have seen some talk of machining the two brass bolts slightly to improve fit but if this was a big issue, you'd think there would be more chatter about it. I can take the intake off at this stage without too much trouble. I don't want to do it later when everything is bolted back up. Thanks.

It should just bolt right up with no problem.
