C1225:Circuit Description
The speed sensor used on this vehicle is a single point magnetic pickup. This sensor produces an AC signal that the EBCM uses the frequency from to calculate the wheel speed.

Conditions for Setting the DTC
The DTC can be set anytime the brake is not depressed and no wheel speed sensor hardware DTCs are present, and the EBCM sees a wheel speed variation of more than 14 km/h (9 mph) for 2.5 seconds.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
ABS/TCS/Active Handling (if equipped with RPO JL4) are disabled.

Indicators that turn on:
ABS indicator
Car Icon (TCS indicator)
Messages displayed on the DTC:
Service ABS
Service Traction System
Service Active HNDLG (if equipped with Active Handling RPO JL4)
Conditions for Clearing the DTC

Condition for DTC is no longer present and scan tool clear DTC function is used.
Fifty ignition cycles have passed with no DTCs detected.
Diagnostic Aids

It is very important that a thorough inspection of the wiring and connectors be performed. Failure to carefully and fully inspect wiring and connectors may result in misdiagnosis, causing part replacement with reappearance of the malfunction.
An intermittent malfunction can be caused by poor connections, broken insulation, or a wire that is broken inside the insulation.
If an intermittent malfunction exists refer to Intermittent and Poor Connections in Diagrams, Diagnostic Aids.

C1294
Circuit Description
This DTC occurs when internal self checking safety logic has determined that the Stoplamp Switch is continuously on. This is important because the TCS/Active Handling (if equipped with RPO JL4) can not be activated when the Stoplamp Switch is on.

Conditions for Setting the DTC
DTC C1294 can be set if the vehicle speed reaches at least 40 km/h (25 mph) . If the brake was never off during two consecutive drive cycles, a malfunction exists.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
ABS remains enabled, TCS/ Active Handling(TM) (if equipped with RPO JL4) are disabled.

Indicators that turn on: Car Icon (TCS indicator
Messages displayed on the DTC: Service Traction System
Service Active HNDLG (if equipped with RPO JL4)

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

Condition for DTC is no longer present and scan tool clear DTC function is used.
Fifty ignition cycles have passed with no DTCs detected.
Diagnostic Aids

It is very important that a thorough inspection of the wiring and connectors be performed. Failure to carefully and fully inspect wiring and connectors may result in misdiagnosis, causing part replacement with reappearance of the malfunction.
Possible causes:
Stoplamp switch circuit shorted to voltage.
Stoplamp switch misadjusted or shorted.
Binding pedal.

The 1225 code indicates an open circuit to the left front wheel speed sensor :yesnod: The most common cause is a faulty wheel speed sensor jumper harness. This replaceable section of harness is mounted to the lower control arm (to the sensor) which causes and open circuit due to suspension travel over time...

For the 1294 code, you have either a mis-adjusted or faulty brake switch on the pedal :yesnod:
