If it were me, I would install the Stingers and drive it for a week to see how you like them. In addition, I would widen the hole in the H-pipe to see what that does to the sound. That just might do it for you. If they are still to loud, the next step would be to install an X-pipe. I prefer the Magnaflow but either one should work. If they are still to loud you can always trade them for another system.

You got to do it. Forget about expanding the opening in the H-pipe that would be a waste of time and money. Go with the xpipe and get on with it. You will love the difference in the sound and never look back on the decision.
