Default My front end has "self modified" itself - help!

Under the front end nose, there used to be two slots where I would hook my (Colgan) bra. There was a space (about a fingers width) between the body plastic and the metal frame bar which runs from front to back.

One of the slots (drivers side) has completely closed up - i.e., the metal frame bar now touches the body plastic. Evidently it is not causing any problem except for making the bra install very difficult (I have to pry the body plastic off of the frame bar with a screwdriver to attach the bra tab).

Quite a few times, when parking the car, I have hit high cement parking blocks. And on other occasions have bottomed out the car rather hard on dips in roads. Could this have caused the problem?

Any suggestions on causes or possible fixes?

:yesnod:

You can try to straighten the bar or you can replace the whole thing or you can live with it.

I'd try straightening the bar out before going through the trouble of replacing it. A bit of "persuasion" with your favorite 5 lb. helper should fix it right up. :)
