Re: Stall TC GUYS Question about a Problem??? (indypace78)
"Not sure if this makes sense, but as you rev, you're giving more fuel to the engine, but since you're at a stand still, you're NOT giving it any more air, so either its way too rich, or the reving without increased air is messing up the A/F ratio.."
how are you not giving it anymore air? your car is always sucking in air while it is running
Re: Stall TC GUYS Question about a Problem??? (indypace78)
DAM! :mad
When I bought this car I thought I would get back into bracket racing... not into computer programing! My '02 is the most inconsistant car I have ever raced period! Give me a car with a carb and less wires!
Re: Stall TC GUYS Question about a Problem??? (vstella)
I had the same problem until I did an LS1 EDIT of the ABUSE MODE TEST AND SET IT AT 7000 AND 0 AND NOW IT LAUNCHES WITHOUT INCIDENT
I got this info from a forum member jfpilla
Thanks Joe and Vince
Trans-go rocks
Re: Stall TC GUYS Question about a Problem??? (Mikie C)
Mike, this not at all a flame. I'm an old carb guy but not anymore. If you do it right the computer has many, many more values you can set and end up more consistant and faster.
Re: Stall TC GUYS Question about a Problem??? (jfpilla)
I am also having similar issues. I have yank 3500 and 3.42. With both Powerloader and Stock programming, the car dies when I brake torque past 2000 rpm. From what I am reading on this post, this is normal??? I don't remmber this happening with stock stall and 3.15 setup.
I just want to rule out it's not a hardware (ie. torque converter / tranny) issue.
Re: Stall TC GUYS Question about a Problem??? (sbkim)
Where is ABUSE MODE in LS-1 Edit, so it can be raised to 7000 & down to 0, and in the Shift Firmness Tab in the Transmission window, at what levels do you increase the Base Pressure vs Torque, and what level do you decrease Brake Pressure vs Torque?
Re: Stall TC GUYS Question about a Problem??? (indypace78)
It's on the Engine Cal page. You might want to peek at the thread kromberg pointed to above, getting a little aggressive with the base pressure was how Keith zapped his tranny.
