does the LS1 edit void your warranty?
I was just wondering if getting the LS1 edit voids your warranty, and what exactly it does. My car is a A4.

LS1 edit reprograms your PCM. Depnding on your dealer and the warranty problem, it may void your warranty. I have two PCM's. When I go to the dealers, the stock PCM goes back in.

Warranties cant be voided under Federal Law. What can be a legitamate denial of a claim, is any modification that can be directly attributable to a mod. But again, just what can be attributable. If they knew you reporgrammed your PCM, and your engine blew. They could deny your claim. But if a week later your window motor goes out. They must repair it.

Forgive me if my clear lack of LS1Edit knowledge shows, but couldn't you just have two programs on your laptop: stock and tuned...then switch back to stock when you hit the dealer? Or would it be impossible to cover your tracks?

Forgive me if my clear lack of LS1Edit knowledge shows, but couldn't you just have two programs on your laptop: stock and tuned...then switch back to stock when you hit the dealer? Or would it be impossible to cover your tracks?

Thats fine if you own it like some of us, but some don't. They go to a tuner for LS1 Edit.
