Ceramic pads have been talked about here many times and are very clean compared to the stock pads, especially Z06 pads. I have considered them but don't want to give up the great stopping power of the OEM pads. Dust is a small price to pay for stopping power.
I already have Raybestos Quiet Stop Ceramic pads on my fronts. The braking is equally as good as stock if not better. Dust is no longer a problem for me. I like them enough to put them on the rears too.
Warped rotors is not a brake pad problem but how well you rotors cool problem. Slow cool downs is what causes warping.
Here is what Raybestos says about their Quiet Stops Ceramic pads:
The Quiet Stop line is neither semi-metallic nor NAO (non-asbestos organic), but a new friction blend made from ceramic ingredients instead of iron fibers and steel powders, which are found in semi-metallic pads.
These disc brake pads are 100 percent shimmed, slotted and chamfered to provide ultra quiet braking, low dusting, exceptional durability, resistance to fade and rapid recovery.
I did the GM ceramic pads and love them ,very little dust and they stop pretty good for street don't know how they perform on track but for my use they work great  and I got them at cost from my GM parts buddy

I think I read somewhere that the GM ceramic pads are made by Dana. Can anyone verify that? How does stopping power compare to OEM.

I've been using the PFC Z rated pads on both my 'vette and wife's BMW. Very low dust and great bite (except when initially cold). No squeeks or squels either, unlike the Hawk pads.

Re: dust free brake pads? (John Shiels)
We sell the new Wilwood "Q" compound, Low dust, Low noise pads. They stop great, and are truly low dust. And they stop well.
We put them on rfgoss1's car and went to Texas World Speedway and pounded them to death, and had no issues, and no fade.
We have them in stock for the C5 right now $146 for the fronts, and $109 for the rear pads.
A 100% dust free pad does not exist! Have Raybestos Q Ceramic/Metallic on my 2000 Coupe for over 2 years with no problems. They dust but not nearly as much as factory.
