Just bought a 99 C5 convertible. The fob battery was dead and I don't have an owners manual. Can someone send me the programming proceedure? I assume it's similar to the C4?? Just traded the C4.
Didn't work. Just to make sure, the positive side of the fob batterey faces up right? (battery # showing). Turned the key to acc, pushed the lock and unlock buttons at the same time. No sounds or anything. Does the position of the passive on/off slide affect it?
sweet! I waisted money having the dealership do it a couple times before. Seems they coulda just told me this as a curtousey! :mad Thanks for the info
you can go into options on the DIC and select unlock both or drivers only...glad it worked for ya I was thinking last night that I skipped a step...
I just had to reprogram both fobs. I tis fairly simple to do. If you have two fobs, you will need to have both handy. Put key in ignition and set to ON. In DIC select options and scroll thru until you have a blank screen. Then press and hold the reset button until FOB LEARNING appears on the DIC screen. YOu'll be prompted to press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on FOB 1, and then FOB 2. That's all there is to it.
