Cupping?

Anyone know what causes tires to "cupping" or scalping? will wheel balancing fix the problem?bad shocks? just started this week onmy OMC 94 oldsmobile.TIA :steering:

If it's the rear tires, you are not rotating them properly. The cupping of the rear tires, had been a problem with some fromt wheel drive cars.

Don't know what car you are talking about but,

Out of balance tires, magnified by bad shocks.
Cupped tires usually can't be balanced, at least they won't stay that way.
