Does WCC know what they are selling ?
During your walk you apparently had doubts so you asked someone at the Mallet display to verify it for you. When you returned you told me that Mallet thought they were not sport shocks. After trying to reassure you that they were you decided to get your money back. We happily refunded your money since you seemed uneasy.
I am sorry that you had to go through all of this but unfortunately it was self-inflicted. I hate to say i but if you would have taken our word for it in the beginning you could have avoided all of this aggravation. The shocks you purchased from us were sport shocks. By the way, all of our sales people are very well trained. I myself have about 25 years of Corvette experience.
Again I appologize for your bad experience with us and hope we can regain your confidence in the future.

On the other hand, I have read WCC's answer above and have to say that while I don't always like their pricing, they have always been courteous and helpful when I have used them in the past.
In the end it appears that everything turned out ok and I hope it didn't tarnish your visit to the States. I've only flown through Germany on my way to Scandinavia but have sometimes wondered why I shouldn't just take a few days off to look around.
Take care and I hope you're already looking forward to your next visit over here.
   (That's German beer in those mugs!!!)
I must admit though that at least one of the WCC salesmen didn't know what he was talking about: HD and Sport shocks are definitely not the same! :nono:
I got my Bilsteins (and those for Ewald aka C5 Frederik) directly from the factory here in Germany, without any hassle... :D
BTW: still wanted to thank you for defending me on the German CF concerning the Eradispeeds/Stopforces!!!

After you told me those are the Sport Shocks, i was convinced that they are, otherwise i wouldnt bought them. I didnt get unssure while walking around. BUT when i picked them up, i was looking again in your cataloge, and was wondering again that you dont offer two differnt kind of the Bilsteins.
So i just aked the second salesperson "You are shure those are not the HD ?" He said "Oh yes, this are the HD, the HD ARE the Spotshocks !" (my wife was with me, heard that too, and was very confused !) The guy showed me the package of the Bilstein shocks were it says "For Sportcars". This seemed to be enough to proclaim those are the sport setting shocks !
I tried to explain him that there is a difference between the HD and the Sport, and that the HD setting is the more soft setting, and that i have the Z51 suspension, and i need the sport setting for my car. It seemed that this guy did not know that there are two different settings, nor that the HD is the application for the Standard suspension.
HE was acctually the guy who told me to go to the Mallet Truck, and have them checked the serial number of the shock.
In my intitial post i shortened the info abit, not to make it too long, so here is what happend when i went to the Mallet Truck:
First the guy made two calls and he couldnt find out what kind of shocks they are, but he said he is very confident that those are the HD and not the Sport Shocks. I should give him a few hours to evaluate this. With this info i went back to the WCC Truck and got the refund. And thats what i told you.
I havent got a chance to tell the end of the story, because in the evening, when we returned to the event (meanwhile we spend some time in the Hotel at the pool :) ) your Truck was closed. However, The Mallet guy was still there, and he remembered me very good. He told me that he checked the Serial numbers of the Shocks, and that the one i showed to him were definitally not the Shocks for the Z51 Sport setting.
Well, this is what i went through. As i said, i never wanted to blame anybody for making mistakes, but i want other people not to go through the same process i went through !
If those are really the sport setting shocks, i appologize for telling something different, but i think you should make it a little bit more clear in you cataloge, and at least ALL of your salesperson should know the differnce of the HD and the Sport setting !
Anyway, i am really glad you joined in !

Hooah!
:flag
nice to hear from you here in the US Forum.
Yes i was considering trying to buy the shocks here in germany, but as they are not sold officially here, and i was in USA anyway i decided to buy them in the Staates. BTW, i was ably to save about 200 Euro (i payed about 300 US$ which calculates to approx. 257 Euro).
Shure, if i knew before the hassle i got into, i would have just joined Ewald in buying them here.
Jochen
there's no excuse for that... especially when you went out of your way to question the sales droid to be certain he was selling you the correct shock.
Good thing you went out of your way to triple check.
