e-brake spring and shifting
Howdy, I still need help. Question 1: It takes up to and over 1 minute to shift from park to reverse when my engine is cold. Why? I have a 1998 convertible. Question 2: I've had my car since 2001 and recently a clanging noise was coming from my right rear tire. Lo and behold, I had it checked and the E-brake did not have a spring. Did the dealer possibly sell it to me that way or could I have lost it on the road? The rotor hasn't been removed prior to the check. Thanks. The dealer doesn't want to take responsibility...
