This is a timely thread for me. I recently got the "Check Engine" light and took the car in to have it checked. The code was P0441-Evap System No Flow During Purge. The diagnosis revealed no problem. OK, these things happen. About a week later i got the "Check Engine" light again. Took the car to a different mechenic. The code was the same and the diagnosis was the same. No problem was detected. (Total cost thus far, about $200) I have learned how to access the codes myself on the DIC now. My question is: If I get a "Check Engine" light again and I determine that it it the same code that triggered the light, is there any way I can turn off the "Check Engine" light myself?
