Default Driving Lights

We all now, thanks to you guys, know how to adjust them. My question is what bulb number are they, what wattage, and can we increase the wattage without melting the lense, and lastly is there a higher wattage replacement bulb that is sold in places like NAPA, Track Auto (their successor), etc?

Thanks all for thinking about this.

Folks, I am not talking about the headlights that pop up but the "fog" lights in the bumpber. Sorry if I created confusion.

Thanks everyone for the help. I found this http://www.corvettedreams.com/piaa-i.pdf which provides very detailed instructions regarding installation of the PIAA 1100x lights. Now we are just about ready to proceed.

The PIAA 1100Xs are driving lights (not fog lights). I highly recommend them!

I agree, replace your factory fog lights with the PIAA 1100 driving lights. It's an easy install, especially since you already have the factory lights on your car. Check out the Tech Tips section of this forum for install. There's also a couple of good posts on the z06vette.com forum about this.
The PIAA's are awesome, you won't regret it. I installed them on my Z06 and sometimes use them at night instead of my head lights.
Check out TL Electronics, a supporting vender, seems they were around $170 last time I noticed.

DITTO Z06-Jim. He nailed it. I really don't need the headlights at night. The PIAAs are that good!

I have 3A ultra brites in my car, They look exactly like the Piaa lights. They are sold at pepboys. They are 55watt that shines like a 85 watt. They are just as bright and clear as the PIAA lights. I did a side by side comparison with the two sets. I have had them for 3 months now with NO issues. They are $60. I didnt use the relays, I mounted them with the stock brackets, ran the white wires to the purples on the oem harness and the blacks to the black. No problems.
