We haven't put in one of the G-techs yet, but just installed on of the Escort units in the area of the ash tray two weeks ago.

One good thing about it being removable is when someone talks *!:* you can put it in there car and get there reaction when there 11 second 66 nova runs a modest 13.8 and there 9000 rpm smallblock peeters out at 6900. I was sure suprised how many people have some sort of car problem when you bring good old "G" with you.

G-Tech's website doesn't recommend hardwiring and they don't offer a hardwire kit.

They do say though that if you do hardwire one to make sure to use a 1 amp inline fuse.

I have thought about it but it seems to be not so much of where to mount it as how to mount it.
