Default Installing some DRM cooling parts

I have been trying to hold out until Lou gets his new Cooling Package complete, but I have no willpower. I have a new Radiator with integrated oil cooler coming on tuesday, and I got my tranny cooler yesterday.

I am going to have Lou do the install because it is beyond me. I am going to put the tranny cooler in one of the brake ducts. Lou's version will have one thing that this doesn't, a welded joint where the oil cooler comes out of the radiator.

I can't wait until I see how it cools.
Cheers
Randy
Oh well.

I hammered my car last time out @ Pocono and they all worked great oil never over 234 and before it would be 310. Great investment. When I used to come in it was making dinking noises as it cooled. Well that motor went south but now perfect. The Vette Doctors put it a big power steering cooler too. Tranny & Diff cooler are great too. Along with Lou's spindle ducts I'll call it the ice box. Rotors look like new.

Great units have 1 in my 427 TT Z06 and after whipping around the track at 12-14 Lbs. of boost my oil temp is 235 max.On our TT kit (Xteremes mine is an LPE)oil never goes beyond 220 and coolant avge 199
Its an all aluminum race radiator 4 core and you will extend oil and motor life in a huge way.(turbo life dramaically as well)
I believe the reason the LPE TT runs a bit hotter is #1 427 CI to cool VS.346
and also the we used the cut outs for addtinal radiator cooling VS.Brakes.
The Brembo Gran Turismo's dont need the cooling ducts as they are so efficient where the stock Vette brakes leave a bit desired, but thats 9,000 pesos later,Dave S.And use her in good health,Dave

I'm about to invest in the same radiator. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the radiator cost you with the intergrated oil cooler? I never heard of the weld job while installing. I wonder why they do it

Thanks
Tommy

I run the Ron Davis radiator with integrated oil cooler as well. I purchased it from DRM a couple years ago. Back when I bought mine, the kit would come with a oil filter relocator that would allow you to remove and replace the oil from there to direct to the cooler. This design caused a lot of clearance problems with long tube headers. Soon later DRM relelased their adapter that removes the oil through a fitting that is bolted to your oil pressure sensor (or is it temp?) that allows you to retain your stock oil filter location, as well as clear headers without any problems. This adapter is now standard issue with their oil cooler package you are getting.

This package has worked excellent for me with my 436. I run a 178 TSTAT and my temps never get up over 185 really unless I am really beating on it at a lapping day. I remember the days, even with heads/cam, of the constantly creeping temperatures with the stock cooling system and this system totally eliminates that problem.

It should work excellent for ya!
