Default Lowering car, have question

In the process of lowering my stock '99 Hardtop, which way do you turn front
bolts to lower suspenson.... clockwise or counterclock wise?
What about the rear bolts? Also on average, whats the wheelwell height after lowering? Any input appreciated, thanks.

You want to turn the front bolts as if you were loosening them, so counterclockwise looking at the top of the bolt (10mm hex). It will thread up into the spring more, which in turn lowers the car.

The rear consists of a long bolt coming up from the bottom with a nut on top. You also want to loosen this nut to lower. You'll need 2 wrenches, one to hold the bolthead, and one to loosen the nut. Leave about 2 bolt threads visible above the nut.

On average, this will lower the car approx 3/4"-1". It won't look any lower when you first get the car off the jackstands. Drive it around for a little while to let it settle into place. Then you should see the results.

Thanks for the info! So the front ones should be turned counterclockwise?

Also, when you do the front, be sure to use a small jack and jack up on the end of the spring itself (black fiberglass) to relieve some of the pressure that's on the bolt. Try to jack as close to the end of the spring as possible. (do one side ata time).
You won't be able to completely remove the pressure, just jack up on it until the car begins to lift off the jackstands. Use a block of wood between the jack and spring to prevent nicking or damaging it. Do NOT jack up on the control arm, or you will add more pressure and make it impossible to turn.

Did it the way you suggested but think I may have turned front bolt the wrong direction. I have about 3/8 to 1/2 of the bolt showing on top of the spring (not as much showing as when I started) Could I have turned it the wrong way? How much of the bolt should be showing? Should I have turned it counterclock wise?
Thanks for your help!

You went the wrong way.
Turn counterclockwise so you get as much of the threads showing as you can.
