you can, but I don't think you will need them. If you have aftermarket wires, just cut them to have very little slack. They should only burn thrm if they touch.
When my SLP LT Headers were installed, the AC line was a little too close. After a few days of abuse, the headers completely melted through the line (which is metal, I believe) and soon Corvette was spewing a lovely white smoke with an interesting burning refrigerant aroma.
So yes... your headers could burn through plug wires and other things if they are too close, too long, in too hot of weather.
Just burned through one of my GM high performance wires this last weekend. Thank god I was taking the car to be tuned and the tuner had a spare for me. Installed the sotck heat boots from the old wires and ordered a new set. This is with the FLP's.
FLP's will generally burn stock wires. Z06TheKid just fried his number 7 plug within days of an FLP instalation.
I have the FLP's also. Go with MSD's (better boot design) and Thunder Racing Cool Sox. I've had mine on for almost a year and 7,000 miles with no problems whatsoever-and it get's hot down here :mad

HUM, I have 70K on my headers, and if the fit is right you should not burn any wires. I have the MSD on now and they are great. Eventually the heat will break them down, but you should get at least 50K miles out of them. I had the Taylors, but they were to loose, so I went back to the stock wires for a while.

I haven't tried or seen the Taylor Thundervolts but mine are the Taylor SpriroPro. They have about 3/16" clearance on #7 cylinder and even more on the others. Noo need for socks here!
I burnt my stock plug wires even with the heat shields on it since it was touching the headers. Changed to MSD wires and its alot better since it doesn't touch the headers.
