Sorry about that, I couldn't resist. Did you check to see if the battery is leaking acid on to the computer? Post the codes and someone will probably figure it out.

The headlight doors are commanded up/down by the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM applies a ground to the coil side of of a relay. The relay inturn applies voltage to the headlamp switch (your lights come on) and to the headlamp door actuator control module. The actuator sends voltage to the headlamp opening door assemblies.
The ground for the headlight door motors is G102. It is located on the passenger side frame at the front of the engine compartment. The battery ground (G104) is located on the passenger side rear, so G102 is forward of that - look around where the A/C Refigerant Pressure Sensor is.
