Default Any more bolton mods without doing headers ?

I am looking for bolton mod suggestions. Turbos/Superchargers and N20 do not count. I would prefer not to do headers. I would like to keep the car as stock as possible - I just want to go a little faster :). I was considering the coupler, bridge, and x-pipe. Would the above three mods give me five to ten rwhp ?

Thanks,

Mark

Intake and cat-back exhaust. For about $1000 in parts your can gain about 20 real world HP.

Example:

Cat-Back Exhaust of your choice: $750
Blackwing air filter $200
Silicon smooth power coupler $50

These thee mods will mine the cheap 20 to 25 HP waiting to be freed. After that HP becomes expensive.

The LS1 resonds nicely to these simple mods.

I already have the Blackwing and LS6 intake. Also the car is an M6 so an upgraded stall is not needed. With my set up what would be a good next mod ? Something I can do without voiding my warranty.

Thanks,

Mark

Exhaust!!! I was surprised at just what a difference my catback made. I was expecting to not even notice, but it really did pick up with the blavkwing already on. Get a used Z06 exhaust for $500 or so.

Exhaust is certainly an option I would entertain. I need to hear all of the different exhaust types up close though before I decide. I have been hearing very conflicting information on the cat-back + x/pipe setups: some people say only upgrade the exhaust for the sound and some say they got 15-20 rwhp. Hard to decide.

You are a print candidate for 4.10 gears. Do a search and find all the thrilled folks with them. Several say a better mod than all the rest of the "bolt Ons" combined. Probably $1000-1200 installed and really no warrantee issues except for the differential itself. With a MN6 your performance just all shifts down 1 gear and most almost do not use 6th as it is - so it is almost something (low end jump) for nothing - as highway in 6th is very acceptable.

Here is a current thread on the subject.
