PCM and TCS codes throwing codes all the time...please help!!!
I've been experiencing some code (throwing) from my Vette for quite some time, but only on hot, humid days, I checked it out on Stengel.net/diccodes and it comes out as follows: PCM P1571- ASR desired torque??? and TCS C1277- Requested torque signal CKT??????? :mad Could this be from small dia. tires or from a loose connection from when I took out the console(traction control button) to replace the Ignition lock? :banghead: :banghead:
Anyone have any info on this or has this happened to you, just ran out of warranty in Feb. and would like to fix myself if at all possible. By the way when these codes come up it comes up on the dic as Service Active Handling/Service Traction control. and starts hessitating and surging under throttle..?? Please help if you have any info on this!! I really appreciate it! :flag :flag
Re: PCM and TCS codes throwing codes all the time...please help!!! (kevette)
I would look at the health of these two circuits. There's some guidance in the service manual regarding looking for opens or grounds depending on the voltages you see. You can also monitor what the PCM thinks it's seeing using and OBD-II scan tool. I'd probably start by looking at the connections at the EBTCM and maybe at the TCS control button.
If this didn't start happening when the tires went on I wouldn't get distracted by them.
