bulb wattage question
Hey guys, I was just wondering what wattage the factory harness can support without burning out. I ordered some e-code assemblies and am going to install some Silverstar H4 bulbs but they are rated at 65/72 watts as opposed to the factory 55/60 watts. I am curently running Silverstars in the dual bulb setup and have had no problems, so will these work? Thanks :cheers:

There have been a couple of post by guys running 100w bulbs. :eek: They have not reported any fuse or wire problems, but then again if they had those problems they might not report it. ;)
I believe there is a 10 Amp fuse for these circuits. This would indicate a total of about 140 watts was expected (10 Amps times 14 Volts = 140 watts).
