Okay, I know this has been discussed a lot before. Anyone know what size resistors and how to install them into the wiring harness plug head (which terminals to attach to, etc) to simulate an O2 sensor on my 2001 C5? I installed SLP long tubes, deleted the pre-cats and keep blowing the front pair of O2 sensors resulting in check engine light a lot. I can purchase the "plug-n-play" sim kit for $150 or so but seem to recall using Radio Shack resistors, etc for $5.
A few other folks I know who have installed the SLP header have had similar issues. We think that without the small pre-cat the sensors are getting too hot and receiving too many hydrocarbons to survive. My main cats are still installed and those O2 sensors are fine.
