Default AC / Heater Control - HELP!!!!

I’m confused, I have been talking to GM Parts direct and they say my part number for my AC / Heat Electronic Control unit is 16254311 and I have also been told its PN 9356081..

What GM parts direct told me was the PN 9356081 is for a 1997 Corvette and the 16254311 is for a 1998 Corvette both having electronic AC/ Heat options. The one for the 97 corvette (#9356081) is $500 and the one for the 98 Corvette (# 16254311) is $175..

I have heard that these electronic units go for $500 from GM and GM Parts Direct is saying that this part for my year is $175…

I’m totally confused….
:cry

9356081 is '97 dual zone controller

16254311 is '99 dual zone

According to my CD, if you have the dual zone AC, you need #9352181 for a '98. If you just have the single zone unit it is #9366311.

Send me an email and I'll TRY to scan the actual pages if you want them.

Not sure of the part number, but you may want to contact Gene at Gene's Kar Shop for a used one. I bought one used for my 1998 for about half of new. He usually ships same day as well. First time I went to dealer under warranty and cost was $500. Good luck.

I called Fichtner Chevrolet and spoke to Bob Wendorff the parts Manager and he looked up my 98 in the computer and the updated info listed the my AC control number 16254311…. I asked him to double check this because I was confused and he said that this is definitely the right one. He said if he looked it up in the old computer, it would list an old number (I did not ask him for that number)..

Its on its way from GM Parts direct. I heard (after I ordered it) that GMParts direct are a nightmare to deal with. I have enough of that so, I hope this works out..
