I ordered the FLP on monday from Paul at Thunder Racing and he had it to me on Wednesday. Following jmX's instructions from the forum, my best friend and I had everything from unpacking the kit to shop clean up done in 6 hours. Of course getting the headers in was a pain but that was expected. The hardest part of the install for us was getting the driver's side rear plug wire back on. The primary would not let us get the boot at the right angle to slip it on. We also had no trouble with the x-pipe install. After the headers were in it took about another half hour to get the rest of the piping bolted and aligned. And because I had the Borla XR-1 originally I just installed to over the axle tubes. There are no mufflers or cats and it sounds great. It is unexpectedly quiet at idle and cruise but when you get on it the car definitely opens up. Last but not least, Paul at Thunder Racing was excellent. The shipping was great, the price was great, and I got everything I needed for the install.
Yes the driver's side plug wire was hell. Took 45 minutes to get it on. and yes the Borla resonator is available if someone wants it. The rear straight pipes are on the car but the borla should bolt right up to most mufflers. it comes to right in front of the transaxle.
Do you happen to have a picture of it? I have two Flowmaster mufflers on mine and want to try something different. I'll take it off your hands if it could somehow work on mine. I like the Borla stuff.
I'll see if I can't get you a picture somehow. I would need someone to post it for me or something. I'm not real computer savvy if you know what I mean. And by the way, my car doesn't smell bad at all without cats.
I ordered mine from Paul last Monday & received them Tuesday. Paul is a great guy to work with & gives excellent service.
My son & I started the intallation @ 10pm Friday & finished @ 4:10am Saturday. Everything fit great except I had to do a little grinding on the brackets that mount the headers to the bottom of the car.
I installed the cats for now because I have to put the car in for service this week. The differential is leaking.
The service manager said the headers would not affect warranty as long as I had cats & 02's.
I plan to take the cats out when I head to the track.
I just finished bolting up my headers. I also used jmx's guide. The only thing I did differently was drop the headers in, let them sit on the groud, and then install the 02 sensors instead of banging them around on the install.
My plug wires wer all relly easy to install. The only issue I had was that the AIR pipe didn't line up. I had to elongate the holes a little with a round file.
Paul is a great guy. I give a lot of credit to Thunder Racing and him directly and will definitely be ordering from him again. I also hope to have some dyno results fairly soon and will keep ya'll posted.
Mine went on in just at 4 hours, thanks to highly skilled buddies, a lift and every tool known to mankind.
Like I said I installed mine with the cats and I think they are loud to the point of being obnoxious. I'm thinking about going to a tamer cat-back, the Corsa Indy's are beyond description with headers. I have a neighbor with Borla Stingers and his car sounds tame by comparrison.

Don't tell me that. I have the identical setup going on!
