Default Getting a Re-ring: What mods to add?

Hello:
Assuming a willing dealer and a competent technician (hold that thought...) what mods could be installed without too much added labor? No heads. I'm thinking cam package, headers, exhaust. Suggestions or caveats?
Regards,
Garibaldi

H/C, under drive pulley.

Upgrade the clutch, m/c, & slave if they pull the engine.

You will save soo much by doing the H/C now.

:iagree: Cam is worth 25-35rwhp, headers worth 10-12rwhp. Do not go too wild on the cam. If you do not do head porting/new valves at least do freshen up the existing valves and seats etc. The cam will require different valve springs as well. The suggestion of replacing the intake with later ZO-6 is worth another 8-12 rwhp on the early model cars. Exhaust/mufflers add another 3-4rwhp. You will not be dissapointed if all these suggestions are accomplished. Good Luck

My dealer did my engine and exhaust mods in the sig for $500 extra, it ran perfect without tuning. :D

Forged pistons, new HP rings, forged rods, Cam & HD clutch setup... From there you can add anything later and be set!
