Default Noise.....and performance suggestions???

Hi, recently purchased a 01 coupe with 6spd. My question is, it seems to me that there is more than the usual level of noise coming from the rear. The car has 7845 miles. However, I don't know if this is the normal level of noise. I talked to the dealer today and described the noise to him and he stated that what I'm hearing is "gear clatter" and all the six speeds do this. That Aside, the noise I'm most concerned with is what sounds like a bad bearing while driving around highway speed. I thought that maybe its the Goodyears causing this. In any event I'm taking it to the dealer this week to let him have a listen. On a side note I would like to tweek this car up from 350hp to about 425 or so. Any suggestions? I was thinking along the lines of Exhaust, intake manifold, and throttle plate etc. Thanks for your time. :chevy

Welcome to the CLUB! Not sure about the gear noise, I have an Automatic car and I can tell you the tires don't make a clatter noise like you mention. On the second part of your post to gain 75 HP, you will need at the very least a cylinder head and cam change to make that kind of power. GOOD LUCK!
