Someone with a Z will know for sure, but i am pretty sure they are bolted to the backside of the front fascia in much the same manner as the fog light surrounds on the C and V's... this requires moving the horizontal cover plate from the bottom of the fascia to access this area....

Can't help u on the removal, however would be curious to know how you intend to paint the screens? I took mine to have them powder coated and was told that due to the 400 degree temperature the plastic molding around the mesh screens would melt. What I did was put some primer on the screens and painted them black. The problem is that due to small road debri the black paint is now chipping and therefore I can see the metal protruding through the paint..I wonder if a clearcoat over the paint would help?

I had that problem the first time I did them on my old car. I then went back and used black bumper paint. You can get it at any auto parts store. It is more flexibale and for the 3 weeks that I had the sceens in with that paint, didnt have a single chip. Give it a shot.
