Default Intake Mods

I have a 2001 and want to do some intake work. I'm thinking of using the Granatelli Super Ram, MAF, Air Duct and BBk Thottle Body. Any comments or suggestons? Also I'd like to have the car dynoed after the installation by the Vette Doctors in Long Island, anybody use these guys?
Mike.

Vette Doctors are great,, do not buy any of the stuff you are talking about until you talk to them and they will tell you what is bull and what is not, let them advise you on your parts and then they will tune some serious gains for you, I wasted a lot of money on mods like these early on and have sense replaced them with better equipment--bottom line--talk to vette doctors first, discuss what your plans are and go from there and it will save you a lot of money in the long run..

If the Super Ram is a cold air mod it might be worth doing. The MAF, Air Duct & BBK throttle body will give you little or no HP increase, IMHO I would not bother with any of them I would spend my money on other mods. I have had alot of work done by the "Vettedoctors" and I recommend them VERY highly, they do tremendous work. Personally I won't let anyone else work on my car.

Just pick up a Donaldson Blackwing for $200 and be done with it.. The power duck, MAF, and TB are not worthwhile in my opinion.

Mark

There are too many arguments over which cold air intake is the best, but definitely get some form of a cold air intake. I add the power duct mostly for looks. I am not an engineer. The accordian style stock piece does not seem conducive to smooth air flow, but what do I know. There are also varied opinions on the TB. If your mostly stock, probably not worth.
