New Optima--- Full Hot Voltage----12.5V???
Was sitting in the Woodward Cruise tonight, which is definately a warm night, and noticed my weekend install Red Top showed 12.5V typically. My Delco would never get that low. On trip hwy home voltage went back to 13.3V which is more normal. Anyone else in the 12's when fully hot (225F oil)?

I've had it for almost a year now and the lowest it gets is 13.5, when I am on the freeway at a constant speed it stays at 14.1 or 14.2 and I have an after market radio system in my car. Check your connectors, clean them out, tighten them down. Good luck.

I believe the gauge just measures alternator output as a charge. Not completely sure.
My guage reads 13.5 - 14.0 during the day and 12.9-13.3 at night with lights, radio, brake light, & turn signal on with my 4 year old factory battery .
