Default Steering Wheel Alignment

Can it just get out of alignment. I just recently had new tires and an alignment job done. On my drive down to Palm Bay to autocross today, I noticed that my steering wheel was not centered with the tires. After autocrossing, it seems even more out of whack. Is this my imagination or can it get worse? I will take it back to the alignment shop, but just wondering what is happening.

Also, I accidently hit the windshield wipers, but stopped them after 1 swipe. They did not go all the way down. They stopped about 1-2 inches from where they should. Drove all day at the autocross, back and forth from Palm Bay and just as I am pulling in at home, they go down.

You probably should go back to your alignment place. They should be able to center your steering wheel. If it changed and got worse, I would be concerned that maybe something didn't get tightened properly. Getting the off center steering wheel happens once in a while, but the changing part would concern me the most.

Your wiper problem is a mystery to me.

If the toe adjustment isn't done correctly, the steering wheel won't be centered. Both sides need to adjusted equally to keep the steering wheel centered.

This is correct. They should turn each tire rod end the same amount to keep the wheel centered. I would be worried that one is not tight if the amount of off center is changing.

Thanks, I just called the shop, and yes they are worried about it too. They said to bring it in before I do anymore driving. I hope it is just something not tightened enough and not something broken. :nonod:
It was aligned straight when I picked it up, and now when it is off center, I can be doing 90 and it is still smooth and goes straight. Just the steering wheel is about a 1/8 turn out of alignment to the left.
