Default Pirelli P Zero Tire for the C5 ?

Noticed they do make Corvette sizes. These tires have a real quiet ride and are on some really fast German cars that I have been in, Got to get rid of the EMT Rock hard ride! Anyone have these? Thoughts please.
Thanks
Tom :steering: :seeya

I am going on 3000 miles with mine, 295 rear and 265's up front. I was also fed up with the run-flats poor traction and treadlife. They performed good on the auto-x track, 1/4 mile test is coming soon. So far I am pleased. :reddevil

I have them....Rosso Assimetricos 275/30/19 and 285/30/20.

My impressions, dry grip is great, wet not as good, I have hydroplaned them a couple times. Usually quiet, but on certain road surfaces they are really loud. Treadlife has a reputation of being very short, although mine don't seem to be wearing too fast.

Overall, no real complaints about them, decent tire, but they are typically much more expensive than competing brands, and I don't feel they are worth the extra $$. Of course the price varies dramatically by the size, so they may be priced more reasonably in some of the more commonly used C5 sizes, I don't know.

Default OK tires, but....

Reading this forum for ideas about new tires for my '00 C5, which is just now ready for replacement of the ORIGINAL tires(!) (52K MILES) I read all of your inputs. Most times you guys are pretty on track with each other, but there's some real variance in this topic. I spoke with an old friend who owns a '02 and he used the P0, and liked and hated them. I drove his car on a long trip with him, and they seemed pretty nice. But.....they're NOT runflats, and in a car with no spare, is it worth the risk? He has about 12K on his P0's, and they're wearing poorly. ( and his car is IMMACULATELY maintained, alignment etc, and he drives like an adult,, no burn offs,, he says that's for the people who like to trash their beautiful 'Vettes) And to the guy who wrote he signed up for AAA just in case? Try being out on the road in the toolywags and have a flat, like him. Waiting hopefully for AAA. Then you too can experience the absolute damage (and EXTREME wait time) he did with the only available shop doing his tire repair! It took him two days before he was on the road again, and since he had to sign a waiver at the little shop against damage, he was stuck with out-of-pocket $$ for a new & ungouged wheel, which meant 4 new wheels in order to match!! And the guy that doesn't like Goodyears? ("Runcraps?!?!",Really?)Good enough for Nascar, but not you? Hmm. I went with the Goodyear Runflats, and couldn't be happier. No sitting on the side of the road for me, and I believe they are the finest tires on the road. Period. And my beautiful '00 corners like a, well, CORVETTE!! HOT! These tires are U.S.A made to boot. They cost more for a reason, it's that simple. To each his own I guess. Just saying.
motor on safely to all of you Corvette cowboys!!

Dude, you revived an 18 year old thread! 😳 FWIW, Pirelli runflats were OEM equipment on my 2014 CTS. Worst tires I've ever had the misfortune to own. I also have a '00, an A4 vert. If you're insistent on runflats, I'd stick with Goodyears, too. If you're willing to go non runflat, I'd recommend Michelin Pilot Sport 2s, or Pilot Super Sports. Sizes are up to you......
